What I collect and why
When you submit the contact form, I collect your name, email, and message, in order to respond to your enquiry and discuss potential work (legal basis: your consent and pre-contractual steps). If you accept analytics cookies, I collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device, to understand how the site is used and improve it (legal basis: consent). When you get in touch, a contact record is stored in my CRM to manage our correspondence (legal basis: legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps). I do not sell your data, and I do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in.
Tools I use
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) for website analytics, only after you consent; Google may transfer data outside the EU under Standard Contractual Clauses. HubSpot (HubSpot Ireland Ltd) stores contact-form submissions and manages our correspondence. GoDaddy hosts the website and its server logs.
How long I keep it
Contact and CRM records are kept for as long as needed to manage our relationship and meet legal obligations, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to GA4’s configured retention period.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email contact@chenteboul.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
